Notifications and Feedback
OpSee uses non-intrusive snackbar notifications to communicate the result of your actions. These appear briefly at the bottom of the screen and disappear automatically.
Snackbar messages
After most actions (creating a record, saving settings, running an import), a notification appears:
| Color | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Green (success) | Action completed successfully | "Equipment created successfully" |
| Red (error) | Action failed | "Failed to save: check your input" |
| Orange (warning) | Action completed with caveats | "Import completed: 3 rows skipped" |
| Blue (info) | Informational message | "Changes will take effect after reload" |
Snackbars disappear after a few seconds. You can dismiss them early by clicking the × button.
Inline validation
Form fields validate your input before submitting. If a required field is empty or a value is outside the allowed range, the field is highlighted with a red border and an error message appears below it.
OpSee does not submit a form that has validation errors. Fix all highlighted fields first, then click Save again.
Confirmation dialogs
Destructive actions (deleting a record, clearing an import) ask for confirmation before proceeding:
- Click the delete / clear button
- A dialog appears: "Are you sure? This action cannot be undone."
- Click Confirm to proceed or Cancel to abort
No data is modified until you confirm.
Error pages
If OpSee cannot reach the backend API (server offline, network issue), the page shows an error alert with a retry button. Try clicking Retry; if the error persists, contact your administrator to check the server status.
