Home Page Embed

The Home page (/home) includes an embedded Cockpit dashboard below the module navigation cards. This embedded cockpit runs at the route /home/cockpit and is independent from the standalone Cockpit (/cockpit).

What is the home embed for?​

The embedded cockpit on the Home page is ideal for:

  • Plant-wide summary KPIs: OEE across all lines, total events today, shift summary
  • Management overview: key numbers visible the moment anyone opens OpSee
  • Announcements or status boards: using text or gauge widgets to show shift targets

Because the Home page is the default landing page after login, any widget placed here is the first thing every user sees.

Configuring the home embed​

The embedded cockpit uses the same widget system as the standalone Cockpit:

  1. Navigate to /home (or click the logo to go Home)
  2. Scroll down to the embedded cockpit panel
  3. Click Edit in the cockpit toolbar
  4. Add, move, and resize widgets as in the regular Cockpit
  5. Click Save to persist the layout

Separate layout from the standalone Cockpit​

The Home embed and the standalone Cockpit (/cockpit) have separate saved layouts. Changes made in one do not affect the other. Use:

  • Home embed for the plant-level summary (visible to all users)
  • Standalone Cockpit for personal or role-specific dashboards

Multiple users, one layout​

The home cockpit layout is global: all users see the same layout (it is not personalized per user). If your administrator changes the home cockpit layout, every user sees the new layout immediately.

If you need a personal dashboard, use the standalone Cockpit and save your own configurations there.
